Tegan Milford Selected as New Castlio Assistant Principal

The Francis Howell School District has announced that Tegan Milford has been selected as the new assistant principal at Castlio Elementary School, effective July 1, 2019. Milford is currently the administrative intern/reading specialist at John Weldon Elementary. She joins Principal Tim Scholle, who had served as assistant principal at Castlio before his promotion.

Milford is passionate about leading students and teachers while fostering community within the school. “I am excited to join the Castlio community as an assistant principal. I look forward to building relationships with students, staff, and families and to help every learner feel successful each day.”

Milford started in the Parkway School District and has worked in Francis Howell since 2005. She taught third grade at Fairmount Elementary until moving to John Weldon as the administrative intern/reading specialist in 2016. She has served as a summer school administrator as both an administrative intern and as the elementary summer academy principal. In addition to her current role, she has also served as a Leadership in Education Administration (LEAP) intern and served on the curriculum advisory council. She has volunteered for the special education advisory committee and collaborated with peers to write science and health curriculum and to create units of study, the third grade curriculum. She has also created formative and summative assessments to support student learning.

Milford has a bachelor of science in education degree from Missouri State University, and both a master’s degree in elementary education and a master’s in elementary administration from the University of Missouri - St. Louis.
