VoiceThread  is an interactive collaboration and sharing tool that enables users to add images, documents, and videos, and to which other users can add voice, text, audio file, or video comments.

Brain Pop

BrainPop offers animated videos to support the classroom curriculum, developed especially for students in third grade and above. (Some content only available during the school day.)

Brain Pop Jr

BrainPop Jr. offers animated videos to support the classroom curriculum, developed especially for students in kindergarten through third grade. (Some content only available during the school day.) 


BookFLIX pairs a fiction book with a nonfiction book. Visitors can listen to a story such as Click Clack Moo: Cows that Type and then learn more by reading Let's Visit a Dairy Farm. Additional activities are available for many of the books. (Currently not available on iPad). 

Britannica School


Encyclopedia available in three levels--Elementary, Middle, and High School. Levels can be searched together or independently. The site also offers extras such as recommended websites for each topic and the Britannica Learning Zone for younger children.


Follett Destiny  allows the user to search the Learning Commons catalog to find print and eBooks available at Castlio. Users can also login to place holds and check Learning Commons account status.


Explora - Students can browse topics of interest or search for a topic of their choice. Search results can be limited to source type (e.g., magazines, news, biographies, etc.) or by Lexile range.


Facts4Me is an online reference site designed especially for elementary level readers.


PebbleGo is written especially PreK-3rd grade researchers. Topics are divided into four sections--Animals, Biography, Earth and Science, and Social Studies.

Study Island


Study Island allows 3rd grade students to practice taking Missouri based standards assessments.

 TrueFlix   TrueFlix is a collection of books from the True Books series, paired with a short video. Books cover science and social studies topics. Geared especially toward third through fifth graders.
Tumble Books Library  

Tumble Book Library offers animated, talking picture books as well as some novels. In addition to books, the site offers activities to go with many of the titles. Works with iPad.
